    ❉ Personal – Obtaining undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University while also being awarded All America status as a varsity gymnast

    ❉ Career – Twenty year career in sports, starting at a time when not a whole lot of people looked like me

    ❉ Life – Living overseas and being afforded the opportunity to see the world, and America, with a different lens

    ❉ Sounds trite, but I would tell myself: Don’t just be yourself, celebrate yourself.  Without apology.

    My high school coaches, who stuck with me even when I doubted my own talents

    My first boss, Marc Fein, who put me forward for my next job (a huge leap from manager to vice president) after he turned the job down due to commitments to his current job

    Two of the strongest, most positive women I ever had the fortune to work for and with – Shelly Harper at Fox, Maidie Oliveau – these women paved the way in the industry at a time when women weren’t exactly welcomed
